Quiznos has about 8,500 stores in the US. That means they gave away an average of 117 sandwiches per store per day for three days straight. Love Quiznos, but I find that hard to believe.

Patti and Charlotte were told the stores weren’t participating, not that they already gave away the quota.

Maybe this story doesn’t have legs, maybe it does. Regardless, Patti makes a good point that it’s best to stick to your word. Under promise and over deliver, right?

The response to the Quiznos Million Subs Giveaway has been nothing short of overwhelming. That’s great, right? Right… but given that we have had over a million consumers respond in only three days, there are a handful of people who have reported some problem redeeming their free sandwich. Patti – excellent article! I too had a similar experience as did several friends that I had passed on the Tweet to. Where I live we have two Quizno’s, both said they were not participating in the give away. That day I had three friends with me, standing there in the loby we all decided that we were not going to eat here (EVER) and drove to Subway and discussed with employees and customers there our Quizno’s experience! I wonder if anyone will give a “real” count on how many they gave away, if any?
