For social media, native advertising is taking something that is a part of that platform and essentially paying to increase your reach. This could be done on Pinterest where people who you don&#039;t follow could have &quot;promoted&quot; pins on your &quot;following&quot;  feed (which happens to be my default home feed). I think another example could be an advertiser with a complementary item could have a sponsored item under the &quot;what others who bought this item are purchasing/viewing.&quot; 
 
Whereas, other forms of native advertising on Buzzfeed and The Atlantic is a digital form of an advertorial, looks like an article but was paid to be placed as such.]]></description>
