Great post, thanks for sharing John. I still believe that video is underused by many and could possibly be one of if not the most powerful form of expression.

@ChrisDrinkut You’re right, it’s not about driving action or sales. It’s more of a way to demonstrate the success/reach of a campaign.

Terrific post, John! I recently edited a sizzle reel together for one of my colleagues (for a client), and it was a terrific experience for both of us. Since I edit in iMovie, I found Wondershare Video Pro a huge help, because it can convert videos from/to any format you need.

@annedreshfield I agree. The Black Tower reel does a nice job of mixing client-produced video with broadcast clips. The music is great too.

I love the one by Black Tower Wine. Florence & the Machine was an interesting music choice…I wonder if people who don’t know about her/her style would find it a little overwhelming. I thought it fit well with the reel, but then again, I absolutely love that song! Thanks for the great post, John.
