The cost of entry is low: only $5,000, but I believe the parent company retains ownership, unlike other franchise opportunities. It&#039;s structured differently. I do know that their philosophy and culture is not a secret and they are very up front about it, which is what got them in trouble in this instance. I also know, as I mentioned elsewhere in the comments, that there is at least one operator in NC who has two stores (I think the current rules are that an operator can only have one) who is a lesbian, and has been with the company for at least 15 years.
