Whitney FayBy Gini Dietrich

Round here these parts, we have a rule: We won’t work with you if we don’t like you.

Because of that rule, our clients become friends. Sometimes even life-long friends.

(I even made, er invited, a client join me for SoulCycle when she was in town last week…at 6 a.m.)

Whitney Fay represents our philosophy. Not only is she great to work with, I might get random texts from her like this one:

Or the time she stepped on a frog—and killed it—in her bare feet. It was an accident, and the way she reacted will make me laugh every time I think about it.

(Unfortunately she told me that story on video chat or I’d post evidence of it here.)

She’s super fun to have around, isn’t afraid to make fun of herself, and does good work (which we’ll cover more in the video).

The Spin Sucks Inquisition

I asked Whitney the normal questions (which you can find below):

  • Tell us who you are and what you do.
  • What is the biggest mistake you’ve made in the past six months?
  • What is one of the biggest trends you’ll be using this year?
  • What is one thing about yourself that would surprise most people?
  • What is the best book you’ve read in the last six months?
  • What is your latest Netflix binge?
  • The Five Second Rule.
  • Where can people find you online?

The Chuck E. Cheese Story

Because we talked about the Chuck E. Cheese story, I thought you’d like to see it for yourself.

And, even though we all know better than to read the comments, this one is gold:

My son took his 2 kids there exactly one week ago yesterday & was told by employees that if they was there to eat that they would have to do that elsewhere because they was out of pizza dough , I’m like omg are you serious , your more then welcome to spend your money on the games & such but we can NOT accommodate the food end of the deal… The way I see it is the issues & problems didn’t just happen last night so STOP with the excuses & own up to the fact that it all boils down to extremely BAD STAFFING from the managment & employees, its not like chucky cheese is a small family owned business , its a big enough co that a plan B is always an oppition, so DON’T just DON’T even start with the bs excuses it was &is total unacceptable and by corporate making up excuses is saying that they find this to be tolorable business practices all the way around and that customers DON’T matter … O YEAH GATTII TOWN APPRECIATED chucky cheese running out of pizza dough because that’s where we went & needless to say they was swamped , although you had like a 45 min wait they was very polite & apologized for the wait & as busy as they was the staff handled it with such grace & patients , never one time did they act like they was ready to pull their hair out, they was prepared in a unexcepted situation so therfor I don’t get why you wasn’t Chuckycheese ….. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

So it’s a second-hand comment from someone who wasn’t there.

(And it’s killing me not to edit it…”the staff handled it with such grace & patients.”)
