2011 Spin Sucks #FollowFriday Recommendations

By: Gini Dietrich | December 30, 2011 |

Woo hoo! It’s the last #FollowFriday of the year.

Last week I listed the January through June #FollowFriday friends.

Today I’m listing the July through December recommendations.

Actually, I don’t know that Shrek started July off (though it would be easy for me to figure out). I just divided the list in half so last week there were 22 and this week there were 21.

That’s all the math there is to it, but it should divide pretty equally.

With that nonsense, here they are.

  1. Michael Schechter can be found on Twitter and blogging at A Better Mess.
  2. Margie Clayman can be found on Twitter and blogging at Social Media, Marketing, & Musings.
  3. Patti Knight can be found on Twitter.

  5. Christina Pappas can be found on Twitter and blogging at The Content Cocktail.
  6. Tony Gnau can be found on Twitter and blogging at T60 Productions.
  7. Claudia Anderson Scimeca can be found on Twitter and blogging at Social Media DDS.
  8. Bridget Spence can be found on Twitter and blogging at My Big Girl Pants.
  9. Nancy Davis can be foundon Twitter and blogging at Nancy A. Davis.
  10. Molli Megasko can be found on Twitter and blogging at Spin Sucks.

  12. Neicole Crepeau can be found on Twitter and blogging at coherent social media.
  13. Joe Hackman can be found on Twitter and blogging at Joe’s Gone Social.
  14. Howie Goldfarb can be found on Twitter and blogging at Sky Pulse Media.

  20. Bryan Willmert can be found on Twitter and blogging at edooce.
  21. Ken Jacobs can be found on Twitter and blogging at Ken’s Views.

And, to make things easy for you, the full list of 43 people can be found on Twitter and a Google Reader bundle (with one caveat: Not all blogs are RSS feed ready).

Have a safe and happy New Year!

I shamelessly stole the image from Jay Dolan. Let’s see if he notices.

      @ToddBartlett Happy New Year to you, Todd!

  • What a year it’s been, eh? Looking forward to 2012 in a big way with my crazies. 😉

    • ginidietrich

      @jasonkonopinski Wait. They’re MY crazies! You can’t have them. I will share, but they are mine.

      • @ginidietrich Didn’t anyone tell you? We’re communists here. There is no *MY*. 😉

        • ginidietrich

          @jasonkonopinski Oh no, my friend. This is a dictatorship.

        • @ginidietrich Insurrection awaits.

        • belllindsay

          @jasonkonopinski@ginidietrich I thought *I* was the communist of this group…? #CanuckPinko

        • @belllindsay@ginidietrich 2011 had the Arab Spring. 2012 will be the Spin Sucks Troubles.

        • belllindsay

          @jasonkonopinski@ginidietrich Don’t be bringing da Irish into this conversation my friend!!

  • skypulsemedia

    @bdorman264 yes @ginidietrich ‘s fridays got stronger in the second half. But somehow missed @tebow

    • bdorman264

      @skypulsemedia @Tebow is on the list for next year; or, she could go All-Tebow next year, huh? @ginidietrich

    • belllindsay

      @skypulsemedia Definitely stronger in the second half! LOL 🙂

  • Happy New Year Gini the Generous!

    • ginidietrich

      @AmyMccTobin Happy New Year, Amy! I’m sad I have to take down my holiday decorations in a few days. 🙁

  • margieclayman

    Ah, I get to relive one of the best things to happen to me in 2011.

    Thanks, Gini-San 🙂

    • @margieclayman I remember that Friday when I was the #FF feature. My inbox was going bonkers with all the new follower notifications. Talk about an ego boost! 🙂

      • ginidietrich

        @jasonkonopinski An ego boost…or a “Dang it, Gini! What did you do to me?”

        • @ginidietrich Like a Chinese menu. Little from Column A and a little from Column B. 🙂

        • ginidietrich

          @jasonkonopinski LOL

        • @ginidietrich And a Happy New Year to you and the rest of the gang, of course. Here’s to seeing each other more in 2012.

        • ginidietrich

          @jasonkonopinski I’ll see you at least once for sure!

    • ginidietrich

      @margieclayman We need to get YOU a life, too!

      • belllindsay

        @ginidietrich@margieclayman HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • belllindsay

    *Sniff* One of the best days I’ve had in the last few months. And sadly, I’m not even joking. 🙂 Gini is da bomb.

    • ginidietrich

      @belllindsay We need to get you a life!

      • belllindsay

        @ginidietrich Surely you’re aware that I play up my dorktastic loser’ness purely for your entertainment. Hahaha!!

        • ginidietrich

          @belllindsay That makes me so happy.

  • So, who do I send the invoice too?

    • ginidietrich

      @JayDolan Jack Bauer, of course.

      • @ginidietrich Isn’t he the dog? Don’t make me send my cat after him.

        • ginidietrich

          @JayDolan He weighs 100 pounds. He’s not scared of your cat.

  • Gini, look what you’ve done! You’ve given me a dozen more blogs to follow!

    • ginidietrich

      @dougricesmbiz I’m sorry? Bwahahaha!

  • I love reading Michael Schechter, Margie Clayman and Nancy Davis. Luckily found Neicole Crepeau and Ken Mueller here. Have recently come to know Claudia Anderson and have read Lindsay Bell too. Whew!

    Many of the others I’ve either followed or will be. So this is more work, but if Gini says so … 🙂

    Also, I have obviously seen both Howie Goldfarb (a most prolific commenter) and Jason Konopinski (another commenting extraordinaire) so will have to check out their blogs. These guys are smart like that 🙂

    • ginidietrich

      @Craig McBreen Careful…we don’t really need them to have bigger heads than they already have.

      • @ginidietrich I’ll try and tone it down for the future 😉

        • @Craig McBreen@ginidietrich The damage is already done. 🙂

      • belllindsay

        @ginidietrich@Craig McBreen Too late!! {bangs head off door jamb}

    • @Craig McBreen Good connecting with you, Craig. The power of connections is an amazing thing, isn’t it?

      • @jasonkonopinski Good connecting with you, Sir! The only problem is every time I come to Spin Sucks I find more blogs to add to my reading list 😉

    • belllindsay

      @Craig McBreen Careful, both @skypulsemedia and @jasonkonopinski are slightly dangerous fellows.

      • @belllindsay@jasonkonopinski That’s what I’ve heard. 😉 I like running with the dangerous pack.

  • ginidietrich

    @han_ma Happy New Year!!!

  • I remember when Gini texted me asking me where my post about Douglas was on my blog. I didn’t think much of it until I saw the pingback. Then I said “Holy Sh*t!” and I laughed and cried a little. I was just so stunned.

    That was a few weeks after my birthday and that was the 3rd largest day of traffic on my blog. I follow almost everyone on this list. I was just happy I got cake since Gini had been promising me cake for so long!

    • ginidietrich

      @NancyD68 Mmmmm…I want cake today.

  • MikeHale

    #1 goal for 2012: Make this list 😀

    • ginidietrich

      @MikeHale That’s good goal. How’re you going to make that happen??!

      • MikeHale

        @ginidietrich Well I know bribery won’t work so I’ll just have top kick the awesome up a notch 😀

        • ginidietrich

          @MikeHale Uh…who says bribery won’t work?

  • Thanks Gin, this list was very helpful and it sure made it easy to check out some other terrific writers/bloggers. I’m new to your posts, reading through your previous posts I’m hooked! I look forward to following/reading them in 2012 and beyond! Keep up the good work and thanks again for sharing. John.
