Editorial calendars are a great idea, especially for blogs that are managed by a group. Just for fun I’m doing my first personal group blog now, and scheduling ahead is a challenge that’s really best met by an editorial calendar even for just a “fun” blog.

Too many companies just start something without a true plan or strategy in place. Individuals have more freedom and can post at will so long as some sort of consistency is maintained–at least this has been my experience in the past.

I didn’t address that. We have all of our clients keep their drafts in WordPress and then we go in and do the SEO magic, save, and they can either publish or we do it for them. For me, I keep everything in WordPress and usually write drafts from the app on my phone. I even keep WordPress open on my computer to write in when I’m on the plane, even if I don’t have WiFi. I just hit save draft as soon as I land. I haven’t lost anything…yet. There is a Microsoft tool you can use when you don’t have Internet access, but I didn’t like it. It was too cumbersome.

Matt, that’s the only difference?!?
