#FollowFriday: A Roundup
It’s Good Friday and our offices are closed. I’m guessing most of you have the day off, as well.
So, rather than recommend a new blogger that you subscribe to and potentially miss because of the holiday, I’ve created a Google Reader subscription of the recommendations I’ve done since I began this program.
If you’re not a Reader person, I’ve listed all of the below so you can pick and choose which ones you would like to explore, subscribe to, and read.
The recommendations for the past year include:
- Sharon Cain, Quest PR Blog
- Scott Hepburn, Media Emerging
- Jon Buscall, Jontus Media
- Mark Schaefer, Businesses {grow}
- Danny Brown, The Human Side of Media and the Social Side of Marketing
- Arik Hanson, Communications Conversations
- Jay Baer, Convince and Convert
- Rieva Lesonsky, Small Biz Daily
- Julie Roads, Writing Roads
- Nancy Lyons and Meghan Wilker, Geek Girls Guide
- Anonymous, Convenience Store Dreamin’

- Doug Davidoff, The Fast Growth
- Becky Johns, I’m Working On It

There are a few blogs not included in this bundle, simply because they don’t have RSS feeds (cough, get one, cough!). But it will certainly give you a great starting point. All you have to do is click here and hit the big subscribe button.
Have a great holiday weekend!
Hi Gini,
Always looking for new interesting blogs so this is a time saver. I'm always amazed whenever I read a good blog by an experienced blogger that doesn't have a RSS feed or the option to receive the blog by email.
Riley
It's kind of scary, isn't it? Beth Harte did a great blog post a few weeks ago about the things bloggers miss, including subscriptions and social sharing. Boo hiss!
Wow, what an impressive list. Looks like I have a lot of reading to catch up on. Thanks, Gini. Have a wonderful weekend!
I think my Reader just doubled in size...this is AWESOME Gini! I have been looking for a resource like this. One click - everything should be that easy.
One question, when you update your end, will it update ours as well?
Also, do you have a list like this of podcasts? I would love to see (err...hear) who you listen to - if any
You know, I don't have an answer for you right now. I'll dig into it and find out. I hope it does update for everyone who subscribes. If not I'll do a recap every 10 weeks or so. I'll let you know!
As for podcasts, I really only listen to Shel Holtz, Rachael Seda, Mitch Joel, and Inside PR (because I have to). But I like the idea of doing a subscription list like this. I'll play with iTunes and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the podcast recommendations. I didn't know Mitch had the SPOS as a podcast. I couldn't find anything from Rachael Seda...I'll have to google the podcast. Also, I've been listening to Inside PR for a while now and have been wondering if and when Spin Sucks will get a podcast (I take a glance about once a month or so).
Hope you had a Happy Easter!
Never thought of doing recommendations as a block of RSS feeds. Fantastic idea that I will be using in future.
Many Thanks & Happy Easter
Sean
YOU I LOVE!! 1st: You are wonderful for closing on Good Friday! 2nd: Have a wonderful Easter! 3rd: Love you to pieces for including me among all of these greats! 4th: Please give JB an extra pastel ice cube for Easter...just from me. :-)
You know, I saved his birthday cupcake because he got into the fridge last week. I think I'll give it to him tomorrow and tell him it's from you!
Happy Easter! xoxo
What a cool and convenient idea...one click of a button and voila...great reading...thank you. And have a wonderful weekend!!! xo
Gini, I'm looking forward to perusing this list. I have already found lots of great folks to connect with thanks to you -- thanks!
Thanks, quite the compliment to be on this list. Will have to check out the anon Convenience Store Dreamin' and a revisit a few a little more often. Enjoy the weekend Gini.
Hopefully I made it easy for you. You can subscribe to the bundle and then scroll through pretty easily.
