If you are a long-time reader of Spin Sucks, especially of the comments, today’s #FollowFriday needs no introduction.

Howie Goldfarb is a huge supporter of us here and always adds some fun, with some smarts, in the comments. In fact, it’s because of him that the comments get so lively at times.

Also known as SkyPulseMedia, or Chief Alien, Howie is one of the top five smartest people I know. Sometimes he leaves comments that I read and think, “I have to re-read this when my brain is fresh.” They’re always full of great wisdom, intelligent debate, and a sense of humor.

Don’t get me wrong…he’s incredibly opinionated. In fact, he just quit Facebook in a very public way (or the network that shall not be named) because he’s been disgusted with their privacy issues for as long as I’ve known him (a couple of years) and he joined Diaspora (which I’m still trying to figure out) instead.

He’s been banned from Mashable because they were tired of him debating every, minute detail (which is incredibly entertaining for the rest of us) and he has a great knack for pretending he doesn’t know who a single high-profile blogger is when others tweet or blog about them (which is also incredibly entertaining).

I’ve recently been invited more into his personal life and (I hope he doesn’t mind my telling you this) I’ve learned he has a super soft side.

He’s dating a woman who has a baby (not his) and I’ve been totally amazed at how much he’s in love with her child already. It’s really nice to see and to learn more about him, personally.

Professionally, he’s an advertising professional who really understands measuring results to the bottom line. He’s not a believer in throwing away half of your dollar to make the other half effective. He’s an advocate against ad impressions, which makes me love him even more. AND! He has an entire section on his website dedicated to cocktail recipes. Now you love him too, don’t you?

So, if you don’t already know Howie, check out his website, read his blog, follow him on Twitter, and, when Diaspora is out of alpha testing, you can follow him there.
