#FollowFriday: The Bike Whisperer
Today’s #FollowFriday is little bit different for one big reason: My friend Jeff Lipschultz is riding his bike across the country and he’s blogging about it as the Bike Whisperer.
It’s no secret that I’m an avid cyclist so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise. But, even if you’re not into cycling, this feat is something everyone should experience, even if it’s just from the periphery.
The ride began this past Sunday in Santa Barbara, Calif., and he’s already ridden into Arizona, through the Mojave Desert. He’ll cover 10 states (CA, AZ, UT, CO, NM, OK, MO, TN, NC, SC) and some crazy number of miles…like 3,500…in 40 days.
Every night I catch up on his day’s ride and I’m supremely and insanely jealous I’m not riding, too. Maybe someday I, too, can make the trip. Until then, go along his adventure with him. You won’t regret it.

Hey Gini,
Thanks for the nice shout out and the kind words and support. This trip rocks! The training was critical as I'm spending quite a bit of time "at the front." This trip is not for the "non-avid cyclist." There are a few taking quite a while to finish the day in the heat. Anyone who's thinking of it should ping me.
Great views at the front of the peleton. Lots of good times ahead, me thinks. I think I could stop now and still think I've accomplished something. 100 miles through the Mojave--not too shabby.
Jeff
a.k.a., The Bike Whisperer
I keep watching your videos and reading your recaps and am super proud of you! You're doing it!! xoxo
What I like about his Blog is that you don't have to be an avid biker to enjoy taking the journey along with him. Great pics - interesting videos - and just the adventure itself stirs the imagination. Thanks for sharing not only the blog Gini but your passion as well. Cheers,
Andy
Right, BFF?!? It's pretty incredible what he's doing!
