#FollowFriday: The Spring Edition

By: Gini Dietrich | March 29, 2013 |

Easter EggsI feel like the entire world has been off the last two weeks.

Not that I mind – it’s a lot easier to get work accomplished when you’re all running around Disney World with your kids.

But I thought, rather than introduce you to someone new today and risk your missing it while you’re on vacation, I’d do a roundup of all of the #FollowFriday recommendations we’ve made here since the beginning of the year.

We’ll do roundups like this occasionally, in case you miss a week or two throughout the year.

Now you can follow the Twitter list and subscribe to the Feedly blog bundle for the following 12 people. You have to be logged into your Feedly account to get the blogs. I haven’t figured out how/if you can subscribe to it so if anyone has tips on that, please share!

We’ll add to this list as we make more recommendations. By the end of the year, you’ll have nicely organized Twitter lists and blog subscriptions.

  1. Starting the year out right, Amy Vernon (my wife) shows us what it’s like to really be the bacon queen.
  2. See how Sam Fiorella is getting by with co-authoring a book with Danny Brown.
  3. Find out why Nick Kellet is the king of lists and what he wants you to do about it.
  4. Discover why I think Jon-Mikel Bailey is one of my most crazy (but completely lovable) friends.
  5. Check out some of the very cool things John Trader is doing at his company.
  6. Ask Elissa Freeman why she carries around so many snacks in her bag.
  7. Learn who Brian Vickery cheers for during football season.
  8. Ask DJ Waldow who is favorite writer is and learn more about his email marketing prowess.
  9. Read the comments to see how hilarious Laura Petrolino truly is and learn about her flying pig obsession.
  10. On an International Women’s Day post, learn more about the amazing women I get to work with every day.
  11. Get to know Dwayne Alicie who went back to school so he could join this crazy communications world we’re in.
  12. Learn more about Alaska big game guide Amber-Lee Dibble.

For those of you just beginning your spring vacations, have fun! Happy Passover! Happy Easter! Happy Spring! Happy Cadbury eggs! Happy jelly beans! Happy I get to drink wine three nights in a row!

Don’t you drink wine three days in a row every weekend? 😉 Great round-up @ginidietrich – always great to revisit the #FollowFridays, and a super resource for people who might have missed one or two. Now, when can I expect my gigantic basket of Cadbury mini-eggs….??

  2. I thought I was the bacon queen?!? Can I be the bacon lady in waiting?

  3. This is fantastic! Listen, I’m going to be honest here…I didn’t even believe the hype about me until I was featured on #FollowFriday, but then when it happened, I was like…”ok, well if it’s on Spin Sucks, it’s got to be true”. And since that time I have been truly blown away by how awesome I really am! So thank you for letting me relive this amazing self realization of incredible-ness all over again.
And what a group of equally uber-fantastic people. Plus, now I have more ways to stalk everything they do, and vice versa! Word to that, yo! Awesome people stalking each other (OMG! that should totally be a tumblr!!)
Happy Easter (or Happy Rabbit Day, or Happy Easter Egg Hunt Day, or Eat a Peep Day…whatever holiday you choose to celebrate)

Thank you again for the unexpected surprise of being mentioned in a FF post Gini. You’re doing epic things with your content here, and it’s great to be a part of the community.
I have to go though, there are 6 Reese’s peanut butter cup eggs waiting for me to devour. I’ll probably be sick, but it’s so worth it. I swear Easter is like an adult Halloween.

Danny is  forcing me to wear a kilt while writing ..and he stares. Help.

  6. Just need to share the following: I just tweet this out and said “Great group of peeps” and then I realized…peeps….spring edition….Easter. OMG! It all comes together! Are you all following me here?
So, anyway, I’m not going to trademark that phrase or anything, so you all are free to tweet it out and bask in the wonder of it all! Enjoy!

  7. Chag Sameach to all my fellow MOTs and Happy Easter to those who observe.

What @nickcicero said. LOVE that you do this @ginidietrich . You are … awesome.

@djwaldow I’ve noticed a pretty interesting trend of late…LOTS of people are nominating themselves for the weekly recommendation. Sort of defeats the purpose, don’t you think?

  11. ElissaFreeman says:

For the record? The answer to “why I carry around so many snacks in my bag?” is a state secret. That is all.

  12. elissapr says:

    TeachPR thank you!!

  13. Great idea, together with the Twitter list and the blog bundle. And being mentioned for FollowFriday at SpinSucks is a pretty cool achievement.

You should create a badge for it. 🙂

Cadbury eggs – the easter/passover/all things spring item that crosses all spiritual observance boundaries. Yum! This was a great list.
