#FollowFriday: Writing Roads

By: Gini Dietrich | July 16, 2010 |

I don’t remember how I first found Julie Roads, but I was very lucky to find her and, in a minute, you’ll be lucky too!  That’s why today’s #FollowFriday is Writing Roads.

On the blog she says she writes about writing, blogging, social media, and marketing. And she does write on all of those topics. But I have to say, her best posts are always the ones (like yesterday’s about finding the good ones) that divert just a bit from one of those four topics.

Her writing is smart, quick-witted, and just plain fun! Living in Chicago, I’m insanely jealous of the times she writes about life in Martha’s Vineyard, but I’ll get over it. I mean, they did close down Michigan Avenue to film Transformers 3. That’s cool, right??

Follow Julie, read her blog, and, if you subscribe to it, every day you’ll be transferred to a different place for five minutes. It’s well worth your time!

  • I couldn’t agree more. Julie’s writing sparkles with heart, soul and wit. I read that post about the beach last night in bed, and loved her insights about leaving your shoes, being able to spot the good finds…or letting them find us. Even though I’m close to about 5 sweet beaches, I’m still a little jealous that she lives on Martha’s Vineyard. There’s something special about that place. Kinda like Julie.

  • I LOVE Writing Roads. Great pick!
