Gin and Topics: Ad Libbing for NFL Players and Animals
This week’s Gin and Topics is a little bit different. You have the normal five hilarious videos, but there is a special surprise at the end.
I received a video yesterday (after this post was produced) and decided it needed to be included today instead of waiting until next week.
Also due credit for some of this week’s video are Rebecca Todd, Lindsay Bell, and Ken Mueller.
If you ever see a funny video you think should be included here, send it to me. I accept them via Twitter, Facebook, Google+, email, or even carrier pigeon, if you can figure out how to do that.
As for now, enjoy this week’s edition!
5. Magic Pug. I didn’t know dogs only used two of their four legs, especially when bounding up (not down) the stairs. Hilarious!
4. BBC One. I have no idea how to describe this, other than to say you have to watch it. And, just when you think you’ve seen all their tricks, they throw in some Michael Jackson at the end. You’re welcome.
3. The NFL: Bad Lip Reading. There is nothing more funny to me than seeing my boyfriend (Tom Brady) say, “Hey! I found Fido! I found Fido, you guys!” Seriously, between this and BBC One, I wish I had the time and talent to create these kinds of videos.
2. Live Action Toy Story. This is a full-length movie so I don’t expect you to sit down and watch the entire thing. But watch the first few minutes. They created Toy Story from real toys. It’s pretty freaking amazing…and I’m surprised the copyright police haven’t shut them down yet.
1. Mommy’s Nose is Scary. This is a classic! You may have already seen it, but it makes me laugh every time. How can you not laugh with a laughing baby??
0. A LEGO Parody of Gangnam Style. I have a special video for you today. It’s not common to have a sixth video, but this is one near and dear to my heart. My friend Dana Hughens’s 11-year-old son has a YouTube channel full of videos where he does LEGO reviews. It’s quite impressive. He recently created a song (to the tune of Gangnam Style) about LEGOs. It’s definitely worth the watch. I’m so proud…and impressed!

The lego vid is really impressive! And the baby video is hilarious.
@Adam | Customer Experience It's really hard not to laugh at a laughing baby, isn't it?
Fella and a giraffe walk into a bar, the giraffe lies down on the floor. The bartender says, "What's that lyin' there?" The fella says, "That's not a lion, it's a giraffe."
Has to be the best compilation to day. The lego reviews. Awesome stuff.

Here's a lip-synching spot from the old Hal Riney days. (I was not the writer. Dang!)

@barrettrossie Ha! I've seen that...it's both great and disturbing!
I'm pretty sure this is my favorite Gin and Topics so far. BBC and NFL were my favs. The baby is so stinkin' cute and Lego boy is going places.
@kateupdates I've been walking around the house saying, "Alan! Alan! Alan! Al!" all day.
The Toy Story video? Just wow. Somebody spent a long time putting that together.
@giesencreative Right? It's impressive...and also a little scary.
Hadn't seen video 1 before, we have a 3 month old boy so that one just cracks me up!! Have a great weekend!
@MatthewLiberty There is almost nothing more funny than a laughing baby!
@ginidietrich Totally agree...although his shocked/ scared face was pretty priceless too!
Alan! Alan! Al! Wait..that's not Alan. That's Steve. Steve! Steve! Great picks this week, Gini
@StaceyHood LOL! That was my favorite part, too!
That's my sweet boy, aka Pugnacious10. He loves that he made Gini's blog and your comment!

@ginidietrich @belllindsay Incredible. Very talented kid!!
"Allen, Allen, Allen, Allen Al, Allen..." hahahaha!! I've seen that one before and it never FAILS to make we cry with laughter!!! "Stop lookin' at her!" hahahaha
@belllindsay Steve! Steve! STEVE!
@ginidietrich Hahaha!! And the lion/giraffe joke!! Hahahaha!!!
This may be one the best weeks yet. Love the Lego video. Hope Lego Corp picks it up and runs with it.
@Mr.D Really? Better than Tight Pants?
"I want cake NOW!" … ;)
And just what we need, Gini, another woman twitterpatted with Tom Brady ;) You and my wife.
I'm thinking Ray Lewis might break Tom Brady's leg this weekend. Pretty boy gonna get it ;)
@Craig McBreen I can't help it. He's so handsome AND he's a great football player. But I think the Ravens run is done.
@ginidietrich I've heard this before ;) Again, my wife ... ;)
it's a toss up who's the very best: Brady or Aaron Rodgers, but I think our new guy, Russell Wilson will soon be a part of that elite group.
No, don't say it about the Ravens. Most of my (and my wife's) family are back in B-more.
@ginidietrich Should have known. Bears vs. Cheeseheads ;)
@Craig McBreen Um, Brady. I hate Aaron Rodgers. I hate the Packers. I hate their fans.
Love the Lego/Gagnam Style video. Very creative--and he's a good dancer too. Happy Friday, Gini and team!
Latest blog post: PR fail: Lance Armstrong's media interview with Oprah
@Shelley Pringle Wasn't that great??
You sold me on the bonus video. Brilliant! I think I'm going to borrow it for an upcoming presentation to illustrate consumer-generated content. I hope LEGO is aware of Dana's son and finds out a way to support his talent.
@EdenSpodek Please feel free to use it, and if you know anyone at LEGO, we'd love it if you passed it along!
@EdenSpodek I think he's sent a few of them in so they are aware.
Al, Al, Al, Allen, Al, Al...freaking love that video!! And the bad lip reading is pretty great too :)
@yvettepistorio And the at the end he's Steve? Steve?
Can't get enough of the pelicans. Thanks for giving me a post dental work giggle! Happy weekend.
@RebeccaTodd When the monkeys are "at the dentist office," I laughed out loud. So funny!
Mr. Andrew Odom, do you like gin as much as a good brew? LOL
