Before I get to the question, though, I want to say that I am so glad I wrote the Mormons Make Better Leaders post yesterday. I learned so much about many of you, including how many LDS friends I have. I had no idea! For those of you who commented and shared your stories, thank you. Yesterday was a lot of fun, getting to know you a bit better.
If you haven’t commented and you have something to share about service, leadership, or your religion, don’t be shy! And don’t be intimidated by the number of comments. I read every one of them and would love to hear about your experiences.
“Hey Gini, happy Friday from Australia! I have a blog Q for you (and anyone else who feels like chiming in) Q: Are there any truly successful blogger ‘partnerships’ out there? I mean, two ppl working together on the one blog with the one vision. Sure, more hands, more contacts, more content = great! But I’m I just realized I’m about to start a blog with a colleague/friend and… well… I can’t think of an example of a similar blog or the potential issues they’d face. Am I missing something?? Alex” Continue Reading »
Well, that and I’m lazy again this morning. I still need to ride so no video for you!
Nancy Davis is an avid Spin Sucks reader and one of the sane commenters in a sea of crazies (myself included). She works and lives in Jersey and, I know this not because it’s on her blog (it is), but because we were joking about her showing up in a tracksuit to help me beat some of you down for not leaving questions on the Arment Dietrich Facebook wall.
I’d be scared, if I were you! So head over there and leave a question. The last thing you want is the both of us threatening to break your knees.
I’ve learned a new trick! If I record the Facebook question of the week on Wednesdays, I don’t have to get up at the butt crack of dawn on Thursdays to shower and record. Yay me!
Before we go to this week’s question, who is ready for the Royal Wedding? I will admit it – I’m obsessed. I don’t know why, but the obsession is almost as bad as when they were hunting Laci Peterson’s killer.
The DVR is set for all the pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding activities. I’m pretty sure Lisa Gerber and I will accomplish nothing tomorrow (she’s obsessed too). It’s OK. You can admit it in the comments. After we help Ken Mueller, of course.
It’s Facebook question of the week time and this week I was not too lazy to shower and record a video. I even rode for my 13th day of #30daysofbiking and it’s not even 7 a.m. yet.
I love mornings. No interruptions. Tons of work gets accomplished. You get to watch the sun rise. But, I’ll be completely brain dead by 7:00 tonight. So there’s the con to getting up early.
All you people have failed me. I have not a single Facebook question to answer this week. So, instead of seeing my pretty face, you get some written something instead.
OH WAIT! I’m wrong. I just scrolled through a lot of status updates and found this from Andy Donovan. Yay Andy! You saved everyone from failure!
“Coming off the presentation this week with you, Carol Roth and Les McKeown – how does a new entrepreneur learn the delicate art of saying “no” to a client request that seems over and above what has been agreed upon? Especially when at the beginning of your career and still ensure the relationship moves forward without any hard feelings?”
But you still don’t get to see my pretty face because, well, I haven’t showered yet. So how about I do our #FollowFriday via video tomorrow?
Andy’s question is a couple of weeks old, but it still works. Continue Reading »
It’s Facebook question of the week time! I always want to write “Clap! Clap! Clap!” when I say that. Kind of like I always want to say, “Hello. I’m Johnny Cash.” when I get in front of a microphone. But I never do because I’m afraid no one will get it and then I’ll have flopped before I even began.
Wow. That was quite a tangent. Note to self: Stop reading Nitty Griddy.
It is Facebook question of the week time and this week’s question comes from Ces Guerra. Ces is not only a good friend of mine, but also the author of Pill Pushers, which is on its way to the big screen. I’m including his question now, and putting it in writing, so that when he makes it big, he’s constantly reminded that I liked him way before he was a big deal. Well that, and, he says something incredibly kind about me in his question (which is very uncharacteristic). Continue Reading »
It’s Facebook question of the week time, but there will be no video. I am working from home today and, well, don’t feel like showering and getting ready just so I can do a video. And, while I’m daring, I’m not daring enough to do a video in my PJs with bed head.
Is it permissible to post content to an open association Facebook page that is helpful, yet slightly promotional, without clearing it first? I have a client video that features one of its members using the client’s IT solution. Continue Reading »
How do you break clients of the habit of simply wanting press releases written to post to their website, or worse distributed to the media when it’s not particularly newsworthy? It seems they understand when we explain it, but then they keep asking for it.
