#FollowFriday-Paula KigerIt’s Friday already, which means you get to meet another member of our community.

I first met Paula Kiger on Twitter as Big Green Pen (turns out, that’s her favorite color pen to use). We’ve been chatting there for a while, but she’s a recent addition to the Spin Sucks community.

In fact, she’s one of the few who follows the rules on The Three Things every Sunday and provides us with an article, podcast, or video in exchange for our three links. We love that!

She lives in Tallahassee, is the mother of two, a wife, a runner, a blogger, holds two degrees, a writer, a reader, a proofreader, holds book club at the women’s prison, and has been instrumental in taking Florida Healthy Kids Corporation from fledgling to a real program that helps uninsured kids.

Most recently, she participated in a big farewell to the ABC affiliate’s weatherman, who is moving to Memphis to work for the affiliate there, which I find really fun and interesting. I’m pretty sure if an anchor left Chicago, no one would notice, but this community is sad to see Sean Parker go.

I mentioned she is a runner. She participates in #RunChat and proudly displays her mileage and time every day in the sidebar of her blog. She also posts both to Facebook every day, which is both inspiring and motivating.

If you read her blog, you’ll find everything from writing techniques she’s learned at writer’s conferences, book reviews, images from her runs, thoughts on every day occurrences (which she manages to make interesting), and even a video of her singing (trying to keep up with Chuck Kent, she is).

As you can tell, she’s no slouch, she’s fun to have around, and she offers each of you something a little bit different than the everyday PR and marketing. You can learn quite a bit from her journey through writing and definitely will be inspired to put on your running shoes and get out the door.

You can find her on Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Big Green Pen, her blog.
