This morning I posted a picture of the temperature on Facebook.

It’s 48 freaking degrees in Chicago. On June 1. It was in the mid-90s this past weekend. Heck, I have a great start to my really unattractive cycling tan already. And now it’s too cold and rainy to ride outside.

If everyone in this city gets sick, you’ll know why.

I hope the weather is better where you are and you can get outside to play this weekend. It is June, after all.

And with that, I give you Gin and Topics.

5. Banker Saves a Dozen Ducklings. Truth is stranger than fiction and that’s definitely the case here. A banker saw a duck waiting for her ducklings to jump from a tree branch two stories high. He was nervous they wouldn’t make the leap so he went to help them. You have to see it to believe it. Thanks to Nancy Cawley Jean for making sure I saw this!

4. Polar Bear Pictures. Jennifer DeVitt sent these to me this morning so I had to move an already written #4 and replace it. It’s worth it. Trust me. And, you’re welcome.

3. Tornado Backdrop in Kansas Wedding Photos. I think I might have to put Deb Dobson on the payroll. She finds the best things for Gin and Topics! Including this one…again truth is stranger than fiction. A tornado coming right at these people during their wedding ceremony. Unbelievable.

2. The Best of Prom 2012. As if prom wasn’t awkward enough, now we have bloggers choosing the best photos from the web and highlighting them. And when I say “best” I really mean terrible. I’ve inserted my favorite of the bunch below, but if you click on the link above, you can see the rest. Thanks to Rusty Speidel for the find!

1. Isaac’s Live Lip-Dub Proposal. This video made the rounds on Facebook last weekend so you may have already seen it. But if you haven’t, I saved it for number one for a reason. It’s a must watch. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll watch it more than once. The only thing I don’t like about it is he’s setting her expectations way too high for the rest of their married lives!
