Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, in the lane, snow is glistening….!!
Yup. As insane as it is to say it—it’s bloody December. Again.
I have zero Christmas shopping done. And zero decorations up. Well, inside the house, anyhow!
That said, I always have a real tree and wreath. I love the smell, and can’t wait to do our tree.
That’s one from a few years back, in the picture.
So, while I’m in a panic about the looming holidays, I thought I would give you an early Christmas present.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
I don’t know about you, but we’re kinda pooped. It’s been a long, busy year.
And, the holidays eat up a large chunk of the month.
People are stressed. Going to parties. Wrapping up projects so they can take a bit of a break with their families.
So, December at Spin Sucks is going to be all about fun!
December on Spin Sucks
We’re doing a special Twelve Days of Christmas series on the blog this month, and while there won’t be lords a’ leaping or swans a’ swimming, there will be best moments from 2014, top Spin Sucks Pro webinars of the year, blogs and podcasts you should be on top of, who the hot up and comers are, coolest gifts for the communicator on your list, and loads more.
We’ll look at content and startups, fight or flight syndrome, getting emotional—it’s basically no holds barred time here with the crazies.
No, Really, Ask Gini Anything!!
In November, Benson Hendrix delivered a fantastic webinar on planning called Strategy 101: Planning for Success.
If you missed it, you can download it here. It’s full of excellent information, and you get to see Benson, in the flesh, with the hat.
Don’t miss the hat.
So, in keeping with the spirit of December good-times, for our next webinar we’re stealing a page from the Reddit book and doing an “ask Gini anything!” webinar!
Yes. I do mean anything.
That said, it has to be clean, and in the spirit of Spin Sucks.
You can ask her how she got that ridiculous jawline. Or, you could ask her her top five tips for business success! The choice is yours.
Drop your questions into the comments below, then register for the webinar, and be there on Thursday December 11 at noon ET.
Author Q&A
Our December author Q&A features New York Times best selling author Diana Kander, and her book All In Startup: Launching a New Idea When Everything is on the Line.
Part novel, part business book, it follows Owen Chase, faced with the demise of his company, and Samantha, a “mysterious mentor with a revolutionary approach to entrepreneurship.”
I think Jay Baer summed it up quite nicely in his Amazon review:
If more books were like All In Startup, the business world would be much better off, and significantly more entertaining. This is a delightfully fresh take on what it requires to follow your passion—even against the odds. Highly recommended!
So, we have another month of great content, mixed with a little bit of Secret Santa—you just never know what you’ll get, and from whom!!
Before I go, as the one and only Canuck on the team, I have to leave you with this: The 12 Days of Christmas…Canada style!
