Gin and Topics: A Chip Joke and Cinco de Mayo

Gin and TopicsBefore we begin, let us first take a moment to wish Yvette Pistorio a happy birthday.

We’ve been hearing the countdown for at least a month now. Clearly I’ve had a very good influence on her.

At the count of three. One. Two. Three.

Happy Birthday, Yvette!

Now on with the show. Oh wait! Speaking of shows! Who’s going to see Iron Man 3 this weekend? I CANNOT WAIT!!

I heart Robert Downey, Jr.

NOW on with the show.

This week’s Gin and Topics is brought to you by Lindsay Bell, Jessica Malnik, Sean McGinnis, Lara Wellman, and yours truly.

5. Gymnast from Bulgaria. This is incredible. Lindsay said it blew her mind, which isn’t really hard to do, but I agree. It’s mind blowing. This little girl is super flexible. I’ve never seen anything like it.

4. Dancing with an iPod. This will just make you happy. I mean, it’s Wham!, it’s an iPod, and it’s a cute guy dancing in public. What more do you need?

3. Dancing Dog. This is fantastic! A woman has taught her dog to dance to “You’re the One that I Want” from Grease. The dog plays Danny Zuko and has some serious dance moves. Watch out, John Travolta! You’ll soon be replaced by a golden retriever.

2. Two Chips. You’re going to start this video and think, “Really, Gini?” Trust me when I say it’s H-I-larious (as Mattie Dietrich would say)! I mean, when she tells the punch line and the chip bleeds cheese? You will laugh. I guarantee it.

1. When is Cinco de Mayo? I love it when Jimmy Kimmel goes to the streets to ask people a seemingly simple question. This time? When is Cinco de Mayo? My favorite quote? “I’ve always wanted to be one of those dumb people on the street!” “Well…you’ve done it.”

Have a great weekend!

I want to just break out into a dance at the mall one day singing Sting and have someone record me.

Dancing boy took me back to high school. Half the girls in school were desperate for George Michael, who knew I had a better shot than them. ;)

Cannot wait to see Iron Man 3 tonight!  We watched numbers 1,2 and the Avengers over the past week to get psyched.  RDJ all the way (swoon).

Loved the rhythmic gymnast.  I go super nerd every summer Olympics over those girls!

The chip video was hi-larious.

Omigod - the END end of the chip thing is hilarious - it's night time and the poor thing is still there, bleeding cheese, getting eaten by birds!!! hahahahahaha

Ok, I gave the chip video a chance, and you're right...hahaha! I did laugh especially when the girl narrating started laughing at her own joke! Ha!!

And oy, people don't know when Cinco De Mayo is...bongos?! Hahahaha!! I hate stupid people. "What do you celebrate - Tacos" hahahahaha!!!

And THANK YOU for the birthday wishes!!! xoxo

Gymnast = totally mind-blowing. Seriously, is her back okay? Because it seems unnatural to bend that far backwards. I seriously love that the iPod dancing guy was dancing #likeaboss behind the guy wearing that tee shirt. Hilarious. The dancing dog was friggin amazing and the chips made me cry I laughed so hard. I'm also going to tell everyone "I'm nacho friend" all weekend. I think Rick Mercer talking to Americans is even funnier than Jimmy Kimmel though. ;)

Where to start? I got sucked into this by the gymnast. Wow.  I follow a lot of dancers on Instagram b/c my daughter is a dancer. If you want to see similarly rubber-bandable people, go to @tomicy on IG. It's incredible.  Oh and the singing guy I liked. For some reason the Payless Shoes scenes were an especially enjoyable juxtaposition. And the Grease/Dog Show lady - wow her ensemble was a perfect complement to her pooch! These were awesome and yes I did laugh at the chips. Probably a little too hard. :-)

The Cinco de Mayo one is the reason I will avoid people with microphones on the street no matter what!!!!

I love dumb people. They make me seem smart by comparison. It really is sad that she didn't know that, but she had a goal and she met it right?

@Karen_C_Wilson RICK MERCER!!! Our Rick. **hearts** As for the gymnast, I was less impressed with her flexibility than the fact that she would throw that ball so high and then catch it with her ears and stuff! I mean come on!! Some of those snares were outta this world. PS: It takes A LOT to blow my mind, @ginidietrich - Dorktastic idiocy and 'mind blowing' are not the same thing. ;)
