It snowed! It snowed! It snowed!

We got TEN glorious inches! I’m so happy. Now the cross-country skis I got for my birthday last year (11 months ago) can finally come out of their wrapping and go for a spin on the lakefront.

Happy, happy, joy, joy!

I know that has nothing to do with Gin and Topics, but I’m so excited. I’ll tone it down now and bring you the top five stories and videos of the week.

5. Walgreens Turns to Paid Bloggers. If you haven’t been following the PR nightmare that Walgreens has created for itself while publicly debating Express Scripts, it’s a good lesson in what not to do. Not only are they fighting online, and very publicly, they’re paying bloggers and tweeters to promote them. It’s all-around bad.

4. Who’s Your Favorite? This was making the rounds on Facebook so you may have already seen (though I know Howie Goldfarb has not), but it is hilarious. Or, as Lisa Gerber and my sister-in-law say, H-I-LARIOUS. It’s a dad asking his daughter who her favorite is – him or mum. Thanks to Hajra Khatoon for making sure I saw it!

3. Beauty Secret of the Stars. Earlier this week, my February issue of InStyle arrived. I looked at the cover and it took me a minute to figure out who it was. The celebrity is so photoshopped you barely recognize her. And then Michael Schechter sent me this video. FINALLY we have a way to not exercise, eat right, or get old…and still look amazing!

2. World’s Coolest Flight Attendant. Ken Mueller sent me this and it’s just awesome.

1. Why Do Rich People Shoplift? I’m kind of astounded by this. Apparently rich people shoplift because it gives them a rush. A rush they’re immune to at work. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up.
