Three Apps, Social Networks, or Platforms for 2012
It’s Facebook question of the week time (clap, clap, clap)!
This week I have a very special surprise for you…a guest appearance by none other than the rock hot Jayme Soulati.
She was in Chicago and I met her for lunch, with the condition that she do a video with me. We had soup, sammiches, and shared a cupcake…while flirting with the super cute waiter.
And the cute waiter is the reason we’re giddy at the beginning of the video. He charmed the pants off of Jayme (not literally) and even offered to shoot the video for us (we declined).
But, to be sure we were somewhat business-like, I asked Jayme to name three of the apps, social networks, and/or platforms she’s going to use in 2012.
Her answer (and our giddiness) is in the video below (or click here and it’ll magically appear).
This is my last video of the year (unless I convince my family to do something fun and unexpected). Next Thursday we have a special video appearance from Molli Megasko…aka Mini Gini (because of her work ethic).

jennwhinnem I have zero problem with you cussing. Just not on the blog, which is read by my grandparents, my mom, and my nieces and nephews (who tend to watch the videos - not really read the blog posts). And my family thinks the worst thing I say is, "What the heck." (it's not)

OMG. Can you say dorquette? The one on the left. But, wow. So honored to be sitting by the effervescent (did I spell that right?) Gin Blossom who makes anyone look good. Thanks for your company; it was blue in a tremendously good way (I never tipped a waiter so much in my life).

How did I miss this??? Love the two of you together...the rock hot soulati in a Facebook Q of the week video!! How cool! I have not had the chance to dig into Instagram, but it's on my list, esp since I too have the new iPhone4S. I adore Dropbox and use it with clients when I have super large files to share or to keep up with additions to projects.

Good stuff ginidietrich and soulati . Instagram is definitely solid. Biased cause we work with them, but try streamzoo for mobile photo sharing too.And I'll check out Dropbox.
Getting on my Soapbox for a second, I'd like to see people/brands try Facebook, Twitter and blogs in 2012. And actually understand how to use them to drive business or just use them better. So many using those three. But so many not using them well.

Although I must confess that I put an iPad on my Chanukah list. It hasn't been delivered but we still have another nights to work with.
I haven't worked with Dropbox yet but I keep hearing good things about it. I need to look at the plans again because if I am not mistaken the "entry" level opportunity didn't provide much in the way of file size to work with. But it definitely looks cool.

Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing No, no, no. No judgement at all. I love purple and plaid together. In fact, I'm wearing it right now. Actually my mention of casual dress attire is a reference to other dress code conversations I've had with ginidietrich , specifically around wearing jeans while giving a presentation, but more generally around dress code in business world. Could be a topic for 2012.
