Every Friday since the pandemic shut things down last March (here in the U.S.), we’ve highlighted communicators and marketers who at first were trying to figure out which part of the sky just fell on them in My Hot Mess. Then we shifted to those who are crushing the pandemic with Survive & Thrive

Now it’s time to get back to business, even if it’s not totally normal. We’re going to do that with an Ask Me Anything series—an elevation of our previous Spin Sucks Question series.

Today we’re going to do something a little bit different for the AMA: a special edition, so to speak.

A couple of weeks ago, I spent some time with Joseph Jaffe, a multiple author and serial entrepreneur. He is admiral at the HMS Beagle, a strategic consultancy that helps its clients navigate the journey from survival to thrival AKA growth. And he is the host of CoronaTV, which launched (aptly) last year and is still going strong.

He invited me on as a guest and the conversation was a bit unexpected. We talked about the strange dreams I’ve been having since the pandemic broke (which have been explained to me as my being an empath + Jungian collective unconscious + time being weirder than we think), how to regain creativity when you’re exhausted to the bone, and being competitive.

Because he graciously offered the video to me, I thought it’d be fun to air it here for this week’s AMA.

Plus, this way, you can put me on 4X speed and make me sound like a chipmunk, or take screengrabs of the ridiculous faces I make.

Have a Question For Us?

I’ll be back next week for our regularly scheduled AMA.

If you have questions for us, you can drop them below or join us in the (free) Spin Sucks Community.

Ask it there, drop ideas for multitasking I can do while answering your questions, engage with your fellow marketers, and have some fun!
