The Rebel's Guide to Email Marketing WebinarBy Gini Dietrich

When I speak, particularly to groups of business owners, one of the stats I show is how many emails were sent just last year (529 trillion).

I use this to prove a point: Email marketing is far from dead and, while we have new and shiny tools to use, it’s one we tend to forget about. Not only does it work effectively, if done well, it’s one of the most efficient lead generation tools you have available.

That’s why we invited DJ Waldow, the co-author (with Jason Falls) of The Rebel’s Guide to Email Marketing to hang out with you for an hour this Thursday, July 25 at noon ET.

Before we begin, I’d like you to scream, “Email marketing is not dead!”

Email Marketing is Not Dead!

Because I am the shallow figurehead around here, I get to see the webinar ahead of time. I watched it this morning and it is very good, which is not a surprise if you know DJ.

He starts off by showing you some examples of some really good – and some really bad – email marketing and then has you play a game…a game that will make you snicker at how you multi-task, even when you’re hanging out on a webinar.

Some of the examples he shows you will make you want to go and out and create new email marketing immediately…particularly the one from the BombBomb CEO.

The Secret to Email Marketing

Not only does he tell you the secret to email marketing, he provides a couple of them (with his happy little face holding up a finger to his lips as if to warn you not to tell anyone else what you’ve learned).

He helps you figure out how to grow your email lists, how to test your subject lines, and what myths exist and why they are not facts.

I walked away with several things we’re going to try, including how to use Twitter to grow our lists…for us and for our clients.

Free Webinar

Now it’s your turn to get all of this information and spend the rest of the summer tweaking your email marketing campaigns.

Register for the free webinar by clicking here. Please note it is a two-step process. You’ll register through Spin Sucks Pro and then receive a link to MeetingBurner, which will get you a meeting notice and even add it to your calendar, if you like.

Please do not skip that second step or, come Thursday at noon if you’re on the east coast (11 a.m. if you’re in the Midwest, 10 a.m. in you’re in the mountain region, or 9 a.m. if you’re on the west coast), you won’t know where to go to get all of this information.

And you’ll miss meeting his dog, seeing him after only a few hours of sleep, and finding out what he has in common with President Obama and Brian Clark.

Here is the link again for the webinar (just in case you’re a scanner and missed it above).

I will not see you on Thursday as this is my week for 2014 planning…and I have to finish writing Spin Sucks.

But Lindsay Bell-Wheeler will be your host and she and DJ will take questions throughout the hour in the webinar chat box and on Twitter.

Enjoy it…I know you’ll get lots from it!
