By Gini Dietrich
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
Today’s #FollowFriday is a little bit different. We’re bringing you, straight from Jacksonville, Fla., our new client services director.
Please allow me to introduce you to one Ms. Laura Petrolino!
<cue studio applause>
What Does the Client Services Director Do?
Yeah, yeah. I know she’s already had a #FollowFriday and some of you already know the little blond ninja that is #petropower, but this is her “official” introduction to the Arment Dietrich team.
On Monday, she joins us to:
- Work with our clients to define their needs, goals, and set the overall strategic direction. In essence, she’s taking over a good portion of my job and I could not be more pleased! She’ll also be responsible for introducing new products and services we launch, and for organic growth.
- Further integrate our earned, owned, shared, and paid media teams. Which means she gets to herd the
catsteam and keep them all happy. - Lead an ongoing discussion with the Spin Sucks community about client service, relationship management, team collaboration, virtual workspaces, and what it’s really like to work with
a maniacme.
That’s all fine and dandy and we think she’s going to be a fantastic addition to our team, but I thought it’d be fun to ask her a little bit about herself, so you can get to know her personally.
Who is Laura Personally?
I asked her a few questions to show you the crazy powerhouse she is.
You use #petropower a lot online. What the heck does it mean?
#petropower \petro-POW-er\
Adjective: A translingual representation of anything reaching an uber-elite level of awesome (both literally and sarcastically).
Noun: The acts and adventures (and at times misadventures) of the Italian blonde ninja.
Why types of ninja skills does the Italian blond possess?
Really just the usual…light speed quick acrobatic movements, mental nimbleness, the ability to lead a conference call while riding on the back of a great white shark, blindfolded, in a hurricane, and simultaneously negotiating world peace.
Exercise is a big deal at Arment Dietrich, but you seem to have taken it to a new level. Are you a professional bodybuilder?
Much like my new fearless ‘Lance Armstrong-esque’ (non-doping version) leader, exercise is a very important part of my life. I was a competitive athlete growing up and therefore both being active and competing in those activities is not just something I do, but an important part of who I am (not to mention helps to keep me sane).
Although I like to think of myself as a professional bodybuilder, crossfitter, triathlete, fill in sport/activity here; at this point I’m just an amateur athlete who loves taking advantage of the competitive opportunities participation in these sports provide.
All that being said, the Petrolino ‘Gun Show’ will make command appearances if requested (like Gini did DURING MY INTERVIEW!!! Um…holy objectification batman! But honestly, how can you blame her? Everyone knows that Italians pack some majorly impressive heat).
Note from Gini: It’s true. I did ask her to flex her muscles during our interview. I don’t even think I waited until the second interview. Don’t tell HR!
What are your pet’s names?
Oliver (aka: crazy red man, because he is crazy and red) is my goofy and adorable Vizsla dog. George (aka: Darth Vader, because he practices mind control, specifically on Oliver) is my cunning and comical Maine Coon cat. George basically rules our household and Oliver and I just pray he doesn’t one day decide to kill us in our sleep.
What is the best thing about living in Florida?
I moved here for two reasons: The weather and the ocean, so those two definitely tie. However, from a mere survival aspect the weather takes the prize (and anyone who has seen me whither and whine in temperatures below 65 will clearly back me up that one).
Where to Find Her
In a true fit with our culture, Laura is everywhere on the web.
She can be found on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn,YouTube, Pinterest (!!!), Google+ and her Call a Biz Hero podcast.
And, of course, she’ll be seen here every sixth or seventh Wednesday, when it’s her turn to write something brilliant.
Please give her a nice round of applause.
Welcome, Laura!
