I’m going to preface this #FollowFriday by saying Randy Hall doesn’t blog as much as he should, but that doesn’t undermine the brilliance he exudes when he does post. And that is why he is today’s recommendation.

Meeting Randy makes it almost hard to believe he wields the power he does with Fortune 100 company executives. He is the most down to earth person…well, on earth. There is no ego attached to him at all. No, “Well I work with big CEO name so you should listen to me” mentality. Just a sincerely kind person who is interested in your growth, both as a leader and a professional.

Oh! Did I forget to mention what he does? In its most simplistic form, he’s a leadership coach. So he works with big CEO names to help them enhance their leadership skills. And (because he coaches me I know this to be true) he makes them work really hard. You can’t ask him a question and expect he’s going to tell you what to do like other coaches. Instead, he asks you a bunch of questions and, if you say, “I don’t know,” he makes you figure out…quickly.

But the good news for you is he imparts his wisdom on his company blog, 4th Gear, without making you do all the hard work. Follow him on Twitter and subscribe to and read his blog. You’ll be a better leader for it.
