Through this very blog, I have been very fortunate to meet some incredible human beings, some of whom will be lifelong friends.
Liz Reusswig is one of those people and I’m very excited to introduce you to her (if you don’t already know her!).
She is the founder of Kids Theatre News, which is the one-stop shop for all things theatre and kids in central Pennsylvania (with big aspirations to grow nationally).
It started out of a personal passion and then grew its wings because her girls not only play in this world, but are incredibly talented. I’ve been lucky enough to see one of them perform and wow. Just wow.
They have more talent in their little fingers than I do in my entire body.
She also has a “side” business (you’ll see why that’s in quotes when you watch the video) where she helps small businesses fill in their marketing gaps.
The Spin Sucks Inquisition
I asked Liz the normal questions (which you can find below):
- Tell us who you are and what you do.
- What is the biggest mistake you’ve made in the past six months?
- What is one of the biggest trends you’ll be using this year?
- What is one thing about yourself that would surprise most people?
- What is the best book you’ve read in the last six months?
- What is your latest Netflix binge?
- The Five Second Rule.
- Where can people find you online?
If you can’t access the video below, you can find it by clicking here.
Where You Can Find Liz Reusswig
Now that you’ve had a glimpse into why I like Liz so much, it’s time to get your fingers warmed up and start clicking.
You can find her on:
Now the floor is yours. Say hello to Liz!
Oh my gosh Liz, I loved your inquisition! Here are my takeaways: 1) I have been pronouncing your last name all wrong in my head for years (oops) 2) SNAPCHAT SNAPCHAT SNAPCHAT! It is the least intuitive of the channels (to me) but I am persevering. When in doubt I just swipe my fingers wildly over the screen until something happens. Methodical, right? And as I said on Twitter, Laura has inadvertently become my unwilling Snapchat tutor, if for no other reason that to dam up the bombardment of cat videos from me! 3) BROADWAY LOTTERIES! I may have shared this with you before but Tenley and I won the Wicked Lottery in September 2009 and it was so magical (not to mention affordable) but just magical! 4) My inlaws had schnauzers named Asta – one after another – they just kept naming them Asta. RIP Asta(s). Anyway – loved it!
Ditto! It’s was great getting to *know* you that much better through video. Do we need a private Facebook group to get us up to speed on Snapchat? I’ve been on there for close to two years and I’m still in the dark. Shh! Don’t tell anyone. The other thing I don’t understand is why so few crazies are using Netflix.
Yesssssssss #SnapFlix or #NetChat group needs to be a thing!
Lol Paula, my first thought also on the name pronunciation! Another reason tuning into these live sessions are enjoyable. I often like to hear the voices to see if they match my imagination of their writing. Most times I am surprised.
I am far from a knowledgeable person on theatre arts but have read Liz’s’ posts and watched in awe of her children’s talent. She has earned my admiration for her role in this craft and as a role model for her children. My only experience with ‘stage moms’ has been with an occasional reality show pass through (Boo-Boo-Who) which left me with stage fright! With the work that I have seen from Liz it has been a pleasure to see a ‘stage right mom’.
As far as Snapchat, I can’t get past the name and how it could be condensed in pronunciation!
